Nkhoma Hospital functions as a District Hospital with responsibilities for the preventive and curative health care of a defined catchment population. The 280-bed hospital provides broad outpatient and inpatient services in surgery, obstetrics, paediatrics and adult medicine. The hospital receives referred patients from 11 health centres within the catchment area. Nkhoma also oversees 9 CCAP health centres beyond the catchment area.
