The health of a country changes with the presence of an adequate supply of skilled nurses. Nkhoma College of Nursing and Midwifery is helping create a new generation of nurses to drive change in Malawi. The school’s last licensure exam pass rate was 98%! The college offers three-year diploma programs for nurses and nurse mid-wives. The school originally started as a department of the Nkhoma Hospital, but it now is a college of Nkhoma University under the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). Most of the College’s students come from poor, rural

backgrounds. They can pursue their nursing dreams because of generous donors who help provide scholarships. The team at Nkhoma were incredibly helpful in the launch of the Global E-learning Nursing System. Staff members helped train other schools and have embraced the ability to provide connected classes for their students.
