NKHUNI

Background

Nkhoma University was registered by Malawi Government in November, 2011.

It was operationalized in June, 2013; officially launched in August, 2015; and registered by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in 2015.

The University was accredited by NCHE in November, 2016.

To provide an opportunity for learning and understanding of the academic disciplines in a professional and God fearing manner with a view to effect social, spiritual and economic improvements

Nkhoma University has three faculties, these being Education, Commerce, and Theology. Under these faculties, the following courses have been registered and accredited by National Council for Higher Learning (NCHE) in Malawi:
 

FACULTY OF EDUCATION

Faculty of Education located at Nkhoma Mission

Programmes:

  • – Bachelor of Education in Mathematical Sciences majors in Mathematics or Computer or Statistics
  • – Bachelor of Education – Languages and Literature Studies
  • – Bachelor of Education – Social and Environmental Studies

Programmes Submitted to NCHE for Registration

  • – University Certificate of Education

The duration for Bachelor Degree programme is 4 years and University Certificate of Education is 1year and 6months

Entry Requirements: 6 Credits including English at MSCE level or equivalent

FACULTY OF COMMERCE

Faculty of Commerce located in Lilongwe behind Lilongwe CCAP Church
Programmes:
  • – Bachelor of Commerce – Business Management and Entrepreneurship
  • – Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing and Innovation

Programmes Submitted to NCHE for registration

  • – Masters in Business Administration
  • – Bachelor of Human Resource Management
  • – Bachelor of Accountancy

The duration for MBA programme is 2years and Bachelors Degree programme is 4 years

Entry Requirements: 6 Credits including English at MSCE level or equivalent
 

FACULTY OF THEOLOGY

Faculty of Theology located in Nkhoma with boarding facility.

The programmes offered are:

  • – Bachelor of Theology – 4 years
  • – Diploma in Theology – 3 years

Programmes Submitted to NCHE for registration

  • – Masters in Theology – 2 years

The duration for Masters Degree Programme is 2 years, Degree Programme 4 years and Diploma is 3 years. We train both Pastoral and Non-Pastoral students

Entry Requirements:
6 Credits including English at MSCE level or equivalent
